Then and Now
Shown at the left is a picture of someone from the 2000's who is wearing something that was popular in the 1960's. Pencil skirts were popular in the 1960's as well as today. Also, it shows a closed heel. That was also a trend then and now. Of course nothing has stayed exactly the same, but it's the same idea. The height of the heel or the way the skirt is cut may have changed but the way it looks has stayed the same.
Dress with Belt
Dresses with belts were very "in" in the 1960's. People wore them all the time. They were more used for formal wear. Such as going to weddings, funerals, or any other family occasion or get together. They were perfect for spring and summer, and still are! People today wear this exact style. The dress may look different, or the belt may look different, but the idea is exactly the same. People today were defiantly influenced by the 1960's fashion. This is because the styles are an exact replica. The position of the belt is even the same. Also, the belt style is very similar. Even the style of the dresses have things in common. Like the length and colors. People all over still wear this style. The popularity of this style never left the United States
